My heart, it quivers
Faster now
As I run
Run

Hot stinking breath wanders down my chest
Down, down
Down
Deeper

Masked figures and gnashing teeth
At my neck, my soul
My pulse slows, drowsy
I fall asleep

Blood.  Bang.
I think I hear a voice
Its song cut abruptly
As I bite down

I let go of my dove
It flies away
Only to be shot down
By the heartbeat of the world

Beautiful, yet terrible
I wander into the abyss, and explore thee
I venture inside you
I have witnessed the darkness side man’s heart
And yet, I do not turn back

My sweet Nightingale
I watch as the cat sinks its claws into your vulnerable flesh
I watch, and I admire as my heart turns to dust
Bleary eyed, you flash with anger
I revel in the storm

I fail to see my reflection in the mirror
I see only a monstrosity
And I love every second as I gaze into her bloodshot eyes
Selfish, foolish desires only serve to destroy us
I dance your bloody, horrific dance

My toes are numb
My pulse falls silent
The cries of the outcas

Midnight sky watching over me
As I sleep, as I dream
A wayward Dove flies into the night
Only to be caught in the clutches of an Owl

Stars a gleam watch over us as we tiptoe into the thicket
Everything I touch coated in a cold midnights dew
I wait for thee, as I walk ahead
Paw prints in the snow

Darkness engulfs everything with but an embrace
Bright lights, fast cars
Strange men, dubious bars
My lipstick grows cold and withered

A cat pounces and captures the mouse
Nails and hair aghast
The tang of Tequila from his breath
The soft purr from the engine wails

Mother

I wilt, as you watch
I hand you a dandelion
As the ot
Hosanna HosannaHosanna Hosanna

My glorious symphony
I pray to thee
I fall to me knees as my eyes flit up towards
Your ethereal greatness
My savior, my grace

Show me mercy
As darkness is all I have endured
I turn my hope unto thee
Warmth fills my heart, as I enter an abyss
You have given me a candle to light my way

Hosanna excelsior
I cast my eyes to you
Among the crowd I hold my arms in triumph
A fog has been lifted
The sun has risen

Hosanna Hosanna
I sing, in these empty streets
I pray, beneath these filthy sheets
My blood no longer runs clear
Droplets of crimson seep into my pillow

To thee I pray for forgiveness
For I have a darkness within my heart
